Wards Pool – Siltex treatment – Friday 13th March 2026:

A spring application of 150kg Siltex (also known as microchalk) was carried out at Wards Pool using the new high volume pump to aid dispersion. The treatment is designed to help the breakdown of organic debris (fallen leaves, etc) and improve water quality in ponds and lakes:

Siltex (microchalk) application to the water surface, with pump being used to disperse the solid across the pool.
Pump flow dispersing the Siltex across the pool surface, carried out in several pegs to ensure an even application.
